The inspiration for this artwork benefitted from a
meditation on the heavenly sounds of bell chimes.
The cool grey tones in the background conveys the
mysterious and fantastical landscape of the snowy
plateau, as well as the sacred and pure religious
vibe. In the distance, range upon range of mountains
against the magnificent billowing clouds, temples
with the subtle light of Buddha blurring into the
misty the mountains, the clear and far-reaching
chimes of bells seemingly from a faraway paradise,
along with the reverent chanting faintly from the
secluded valleys. Three rosebud-like young women
arranged with thoughtful spacing, their glances
full of emotions; one clasping her hands in prayer,
embodying the piety of humanity; another holding
the white prayer beads, pure and noble, symbolizing
blessings; the third gazing straight ahead tenderly, as
if telling the beautiful legend of that distant heavenly
pure land. Heaven is holy, the pure land is clean, and
the snowy plateau is a sacred place for pilgrims, a
spiritual home for epiphany of wisdom. "Gold Resonant
