王興道1963出生於南台灣屏東，長期活躍於南台灣藝術圈，縱情遊歷台灣山水林間，曾經從事園藝景觀設計的背景，在歷經十年的沉潛觀照後，重拾畫筆，師法自然，將台灣地理人文與內心冥想的山水融合，在真實與想像之間，似乎熟悉的台灣風景面貌，卻又在山峭轉折處隱藏著藝術家心中的小小桃花源，描繪出以畫布為修行觀照的人文風景。
